This project is the first step in our collaboration and is intended to offer our customers new possibilities to replace the plastic currently used in their packaging - practical, aesthetic and future-oriented.
Packaging with viewing windows is popular and allows consumers to see the product at a glance - a plus in terms of attractiveness, transparency and convenience. However, this convenience comes at a price: the films used are often made of plastic and are neither biodegradable nor recyclable. If recyclable film materials are nevertheless used, the circular economy often fails due to the laborious separation of the different packaging materials.
For consumers, this means a frustrating dilemma: they have to decide whether to try to separate plastic from paper or throw away the entire packaging - often without knowing what impact this has on the environment.
Replacing a single-use plastic window with a natural material may seem like a small adjustment, but for us it is a significant first step.
With our expertise in the development and production of packaging and our advanced machinery, we are able to quickly and efficiently convert existing packaging with a plastic window 1:1 with a sustainable algae film.
